Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Coach Darrius developed his passion for soccer later in his youth, breaking through to Tier 1 with Blizzards S.C. at age 17. He went on to compete with New Frontier in CUSA U23 before playing at the highest amateur level in Alberta with Villains F.C. in the Alberta Major Soccer League.

 

His dedication and perseverance earned him a spot with the University of Calgary Dinos — a milestone that reflected his relentless work ethic. Now entering his second season with the Dinos, Darrius is currently redshirted due to injuries but remains focused on development and pushing his game forward.

 

With over two years of coaching experience, Darrius has worked as a goalkeeper coach with Summit Goalkeeping, served as head coach for Blizzards Rovers U10, and most recently coached at the FC Barcelona camps in Calgary, collaborating with visiting coaches from Spain.

 

As both a player and a coach, he brings resilience, technical expertise, and a passion for developing the next generation of confident, skilled goalkeepers. His journey is defined by perseverance and a relentless drive to improve — qualities he now instills in the players he coaches.
